Our Fees
There are NO OUT OF POCKET fees or expenses from our clients*. Most of our services are on contingency basis (a percentage based fee
paid only upon successful recovery of disability related non-refundable tax
credits, such as the DTC). No contingency fees are charged for applying for
refundable tax credits such as the Child Disability Benefit. If we are
unsuccessful in recovering any credits/refunds, there is NO CHARGE. If a
DTC application filed by us on your behalf is denied, we will file an appeal
(Notice of Objection) to the CRA and challenge the denial at NO CHARGE
to you.
*With the exception of our Tax Return Preparation Service and third-party legal advice.
The contingency fee includes:
- Gathering all relevant financial, tax, and medical information;
- Conducting a tax review;
- Interacting with your medical practitioner;
- Paying related fees to medical practitioner to complete the DTC;
- Submitting requests to the CRA to claim all related credits/benefits;
- Monitoring the progress of your report with the CRA;
- Responding to any CRA inquiries;
- Interacting with your medical practitioner if a questionnaire has
been sent by the CRA;
- Filing a Notice of Objection on your behalf (only upon denial);
- Reviewing all CRA reassessments for accuracy;
- Submitting Adjustment Requests for inaccurate Reassessments;
- Preparing and delivering a final summary report to you; and
- Supplying you with a refund cheque (if applicable).
Our Mission
‘To assist in building financial well-being for all, regardless of one's income,
age, or severity of disability.'
Many people with disabilities are missing valuable tax credits and potential refunds
for which they may be eligible. We recognize that there are many issues that need
to be considered when you are planning for your future financial well-being or that
of a family member; we will assess each individual situation and provide direction. |
